The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association State Dance Championships delivered a weekend of high-energy performances and elite competition, with student-athletes from the Kent School District emerging as some of the event’s top performers.

Leading the way was Kentridge High School, where the Chatelains dance team achieved an impressive sweep, earning state championships in both the Kick and Pom categories. Their routines stood out for their precision, synchronization, and strong technical execution, setting a high bar among competitors from across the state.

Not far behind, Kentlake High School also secured top honors. The Flames dance team captured the state championship in the Dance category, showcasing a performance marked by creativity, artistry, and dynamic energy.

The results highlight the strength of dance programs across the district and reflect months of preparation, discipline, and teamwork. These achievements underscore the dedication of student-athletes, the leadership of their coaches, and the strong support from families and school communities.
