School Supplies

Free Supplies for Every Student

For the 2025-2026 school year, every student in Kent School District will receive essential school supplies at no cost to families.

This initiative is OneKSD in action as we prioritized district funding and partnered with local community groups to provide supplies for our students.

“This effort is about removing barriers and ensuring every child, in every classroom, has what they need to learn. It sends a strong message to students: You are valued, and your education matters.”

Superintendent Israel Vela

   May 2025

Each student will receive a standard set of grade-level school supplies, distributed at the start of the school year. These core supplies will be consistent across the district and designed to meet basic classroom needs.

Families are still welcome to provide personal items like backpacks, lunchboxes, or water bottles.

Volunteers Needed

Seeking Volunteers for Supply Distribution

We’re inviting staff, families, and community members to support the preparation and distribution of CORE supplies August 13-22, 2025. Your help will ensure a smooth and successful rollout for all students.

If you're interested, please complete the new or returning volunteer process (families and community members only) and complete the School Supply Kit Sorting Volunteer Sign-Up form as soon as possible.

Thanks to the generosity of our community partners including local PTA groups, faith-based organizations, and community members, we are not alone in this work. It takes an entire community coming together to support our students and families.
