Food Resources

Kent School District understands that some families may be experiencing financial hardship due to recent changes to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits and other economic challenges. We know that hunger directly impacts student learning, health, and well-being, and we are committed to helping connect families with available resources.

As OneKSD, we believe that when we come together, we can ensure every student and family has the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Local Food Resources

If your family needs additional support, please reach out directly to your child’s school. Many KSD schools partner with community organizations and food banks that provide extra resources to families throughout the year.

No-Cost Meals at School

All Kent School District students receive free breakfast and lunch every school day through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This program ensures every student has access to nutritious meals at no cost—no application required. Meals are available daily on campus to support student health and academic success.

Ways to Support Our OneKSD Community

If you’re in a position to help, consider:

• Donating to a local food bank—many accept monetary or nonperishable food donations.

• Supporting the Kent Schools Foundation, which helps fund programs that directly benefit KSD students and families.

• Volunteering with local organizations that provide weekend and holiday meal support.

Together as OneKSD, we can make sure every student and family in the Kent community has the nourishment and care they need to succeed. 💙
