
All Kent School District Schools and the administration campus are open and operating on normal schedules Monday, November 25. Buses are on normal routes at the regularly scheduled pick-up times.


Schools Closed Friday, November 22, Administration Campus Open. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff in the aftermath of this severe windstorm. We are working diligently with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to reopen our schools. Currently, there are 17 schools without power and three with unsafe conditions. Congratulations to our Kentlake Girls Cross Country team for qualifying for state for the first time in Kentlake history! Team included Charlotte Coberly, Allie Kilburg, Taylor Le, Sydney Kujala, Whitney Anderson, Brianna Sanders, BriAnn Bolles, Kennedy Sirrine and Hanna Kelley. The boys cross country team had two members qualify for state- Will Valerio and Candan Altinay. The boys were one place out of qualifying as a team. Great work on a wet, muddy and windy course!

Nick of Time Foundation FREE Screening
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in exercising or at-play young people on school campus. Nick of Time Foundation, in partnership with the UW Center for Sports Cardiology, conducts EKG youth heart screenings for adolescents and young adults ages 12-24. A simple EKG can identify certain serious heart conditions that cannot be detected by a stethoscope. Kentlake High School will host Financial Aid Advising Day (FAAD) for 12th grade students Wednesday, November 6 in the PAC during homeroom (8:42-9:15 AM). During this event, students will learn about the Washington College Grant, the new Financial Aid Calculator, the College Board CSS Profile, completing financial aid applications, community-based resources available, and more!

Class of 2025 Students! The 2025-26 financial aid applications are opening on December 1. Applications should open October 1, in future years. It is recommended that students check college or university websites for individual financial aid application deadlines.
Get started NOW! by setting up your FAFSA or WASFA account—make sure to save your login and password.
Families and students will receive the FAAD materials after November 6 via email. On December 11, students will receive more information about completing the application. Be prepared by setting up your FAFSA or WASFA account prior to that date.

AP Testing - Students in AP classes, remember to purchase your AP tests by November 8th. This can be done at the cashier’s office or online through InTouch. Tests are $99. Students with a waiver on file for free/reduced lunch must still go through the cashier or InTouch online to order your test.
