Get ready for the new school year with an afternoon of fun, resources, and support for the whole family! Join Kent School District on Wednesday, August 19, from 3:00-7:30 p.m. at Kent Commons Community Center (525 4th Ave N, Kent) for our Back-to-School Family Engagement Event.
Whether you're preparing for your child's first day of school or looking for helpful community resources, this event is designed to help your family start the school year with confidence.
What You'll Find at the Event
Families can connect with:
Information and support for enrolling students, early learning, Inclusive Education, athletics and activities, nutrition services, and technology
Community resources from local partners, including Centro Rendu, Kent Youth and Family Services (KYFS), and Communities In Schools
A no-cost immunization clinic (register online)
Free Transportation Available
Getting to the event is easy! Free round-trip bus transportation will be available from select Kent School District schools. Simply go to your neighborhood school and ride the bus to and from Kent Commons.

Free Vaccines
Families will also have the opportunity to receive routine and school-required vaccinations at no cost for children and youth ages 18 and younger, thanks to our partnership with King County Best Starts for Kids.
To help make your visit as smooth as possible:
Register online (walk-ins are also welcome based on appointment availability).
Bring your child's vaccination record, if available, especially if they received vaccines outside Washington state.
Vaccinations are provided at no cost regardless of insurance status.
Uninsured children are welcome.
If your child is insured, please bring your insurance card.
