All seventh grade students in Kent School District and 10th grade students at Kent Laboratory Academy and Kentwood participate each year in the SB-SBIRT (School-Based Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Services) screening. This screening helps identify students who may benefit from additional supports, including mental health supports, while supporting students' overall physical, emotional, and social well-being. 

Opt Out Information: Families who do not want their child to participate must complete the opt-out form in Skyward Qmlativ Family Access between September 15 — October 15, 2026, or request a paper form from their child's school. A separate form is required for each 7th or 10th grade student at their school.
