Kent School District Receives $560,000 Grant from King County to Support Outdoor Education
We are excited to share great news with our Kent School District families and community! The Metropolitan King County Council unanimously approved its 2026–2027 budget, which provides $560,000 for KSD’s 5th Grade Outdoor Education Program. The district received an official notification from Councilmember De’Sean Quinn on November 25.
This funding supports outdoor education for the 2026-2027 school year. We are continuing to partner with the Kent Schools Foundation to raise funds to sustain this program for the future. Your support and advocacy make a difference in keeping this valuable experience available for our students.
