Western Carpenters Union Donation to Springbrook

🛠️ Building a Brighter Future: Local 206 Carpenters Union Donates to Springbrook Elementary

Springbrook Elementary received a heartwarming boost as members of the Local 206 Carpenters Union stepped up—not with construction tools, but with donations of art supplies, classroom essentials, and cleaning supplies to support students and staff as they head into the new school year.

This generous act highlights the power of partnerships, and the role community members can play in shaping the future for students in the Kennewick School District.

“We are so grateful for the donation that was made from the Local 206 Carpenters,” said Springbrook Principal. “I mean, we have things to make sure that our students stay healthy, we have things to make sure that they can create—a ton of art supplies and things that they can play with. So this is just an example of the communities coming together and helping out our future students. Thank you to the 206 Carpenters Union, and we are so excited to see additional partnerships, especially with our high schools, and getting our students prepared for college and careers.”

The impact of this donation goes far beyond supplies—it's a statement of commitment from Local 206 to support education and community growth. “We don’t only build schools or homes, but we also build communities,” said Lisandro Vela, President of Local 206. “And we’re very passionate about that.”

With partners like Local 206, OneKSD continues to thrive on its mission of supporting every student, every day.

Thank you, Local 206 Carpenters Union, for investing in our students, our schools, and our shared future.
