Good Afternoon. The is Angela Bacon reaching out to you from Lake Youngs Elementary. I hope each of you and your families were able to create some great summer memories and are ready to return to school - can you believe we are only 13 days away from bringing summer to an end?
I am reaching out to let you know our 5th Grade Outdoor Camp is Scheduled for September 17th -19th. There is a mandatory parent meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 4th at 5:30 in the Lake Youngs MPR.
We are combining the 5th Grade Open House with this meeting & really hope you can make it. The camp experience was amazing & so rewarding for all that attended.
5th Graders will have high school camp counselors at a ratio of 5 to 1 who will stay in the cabins with them. We are being asked to provide adult chaperones at a ratio of 10 to 1 who will sleep near by in their own cabin. If you are interested - please reach out to me at angela.bacon@kent.k12.wa.us
Thank You & Have A Great Evening

Reminder: All KSD buildings and the Administration Center will be closed today, Wednesday June 19, in observation of Juneteenth.
Also known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth honors the end of slavery in the US and marks the day federal troops arrived in Texas in 1865, a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Tassels have been moved, hats have been thrown and graduation photos have been uploaded! Check out the albums today!
