The holiday season is upon us, and winter is just around the corner! Lake Youngs Elementary and PTSA are sponsoring a “Virtual” Giving Tree for families within the Lake Youngs Community.

We ask that all gifts be wrapped, and the number of the tag attached to the gift. Please bring gifts to the office between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm by Friday, December 13th. (Please do not leave gifts in front of the school on the weekends.)

Hello Lake Youngs Families!
Each month we like to spoil our Lake Youngs Staff by having a potluck lunch for them with different themes. In order for this potluck to happen, we greatly appreciate donations. December's Potluck theme is "Winter Celebration". We have a Signup Genius for you to sign up for an item to donate or if it is easy for you to donate money, we can use that money to purchase items for the potluck.
December's Potluck is on Thursday, December 19tt. Please have all items dropped off to the office by Thursday, December 19th by 9:30am.

Due to the districtwide closure for power outages in November, the 2024-2025 student calendar has been updated. The optional snow days previously planned for March, April, and May are now regular school days. www.kent.k12.wa.us/calendar

Lake Youngs December Dress-up Days! Starting December 2nd to December 20th, have your students join in!

All Kent School District Schools and the administration campus are open and operating on normal schedules Monday, November 25. Buses are on normal routes at the regularly scheduled pick-up times.
Schools Closed Friday, November 22, Administration Campus Open. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff in the aftermath of this severe windstorm. We are working diligently with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to reopen our schools. Currently, there are 17 schools without power and three with unsafe conditions. All schools and administration campus will be closed, Thursday, Nov. 21. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to open our schools. As of 6:30 p.m. today, 20 schools and the administration campus are without power caused by the severe windstorm. It’s Election Day! Remember to turn in your ballot to any drop box location by 8:00 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, November 5. KSD encourages all registered voters to vote in all elections. Remember to vote!
