New! Donation Drop-off at Emerald Park!
We've partnered with TreeMachine and USAgain to put a donation bin in the parking lot at Emerald Park to collect gently used clothes, shoes, linens, purses, etc.
For every pound of donations we collect in our bin, USAgain gives our PTSA money and then cleans, sorts, and ships approximately 90% of the items to be reused in communities in South America! For every bin we fill, Trees for the Future, a United Nations World Restoration Flagship organization, plants a tree to restore landscapes and farming opportunities in sub-Saharan nations.
You can find the green and white bin in the southeast corner of the parking lot and can start using it now! Although the lot is only accessible when the gates are open, the bin is in close enough proximity to the bus loop gate that you can park there and drop off at nights and on weekends, too! We thank you in advance for bringing your donations to our bin and helping to raise money for Emerald Park!
If you (or your students' families) have any questions about the bin, please contact Ashleigh at fundraising@emeraldparkptsa.org or Stefani at info@emeraldparkptsa.org.
Thank you!

Starting as early as preschool and kindergarten, regular attendance is essential for students gaining the academic and social skills they need to thrive. Research shows that when students are chronically absent (missing 10% or more of the school year or 18 days over an entire school year), they are less likely to read proficiently by third grade, achieve in middle school and graduate from high school.

Join us for our next levy listening session on Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. in the KSD district office boardroom. Learn about the replacement Capital & Technology levy on the November 5th ballot.
