Hazel Health has notified school districts nationwide of a security incident involving unauthorized access to data in its systems. Kent School District is working to understand the scope of the incident and whether any district-related information may have been affected.

Out of an abundance of caution, KSD is temporarily pausing use of Hazel Health services until additional information is available. This means Hazel Health appointments and referrals are on hold at this time.

If your student needs support while Hazel Health services are paused, please contact your school counselor, social worker, or school administrator. Families may also use available community-based supports. If your student is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact King County Crisis Services or call 988 for immediate support.

KSD is actively working with Hazel Health to gather more information, understand any potential impact, and determine next steps needed to protect affected individuals. Hazel Health has shared that its investigation is ongoing and that cybersecurity experts are assisting with the review.
