Camp Update! Camp Osprey has postponed our outdoor camp, originally scheduled for 9.24.24-9.26.24, due to staff illness and not having enough staff available to host our camp. Please note, this decision to postpone camp was made by the Camp Osprey team, not the school district or Crestwood. Camp Osprey is working diligently to find a new date for our camp, and we will communicate the rescheduled date with families as soon as it is finalized. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Thank you for your support as we work with Camp Osprey to coordinate outdoor camp for our school for this school.

Starting as early as preschool and kindergarten, regular attendance is essential for students gaining the academic and social skills they need to thrive. Research shows that when students are chronically absent (missing 10% or more of the school year or 18 days over an entire school year), they are less likely to read proficiently by third grade, achieve in middle school and graduate from high school.

Hello Amazing 5th Grade Families, Kent School District is thrilled to send our 5th graders to Outdoor School at OSPREY Camp this year! Located at Camp Solomon Schechter, just south of Olympia, this is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning in nature. We invite you to join as a chaperone from September 24 thru September 26. Chaperones will provide in-cabin supervision during transitions, evenings, overnights, and mornings, staying with about ten 5th graders and a High School Mentor. You can participate in outdoor activities like hiking and will be provided with a camp tour and detailed schedule upon arrival. Cabins are heated and equipped with bathrooms/showers, and meals are served in the dining hall. While we encourage an unplugged environment, there is cell service and Wi-Fi available during non-supervision times. We hope you’ll consider volunteering to help make this a memorable experience for our students. Please reach out with any questions or to volunteer. Thank you! Principal Sidorchuk
