No exceptions! ** Click on title for further information.
It is required that families fill out a new free & reduced lunch application at the beginning of each school year. It can take up to 10 days for the application to be processed. Any balance accrued before the application is approved, is the families responsibility. You can find the link to the applications on either the Kent School District website or our Kent Elementary website under Site Shortcuts. Click on Lunch Money Now. Filling out the application online is the fastest way to have your application processed. If you have any questions you can call food services at 253-373-7275.
Our parent & community volunteers are vital to making Kent Elementary a wonderful and successful school. We encourage you to stop by our office to have your fingerprints done with Mr. Nicolas. Please keep in mind that the questionnaire needs to be filled out yearly and that the whole process can take 3 -4 weeks for completion. Please keep this in mind if you want to attend an upcoming field trip. Mr. Nicolas is available for fingerprinting, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:15am - 11:00am. Please bring your picture ID with you.
Kent School District invites former graduates to join a recently established alumni database launched on the District’s website.
Congratulations to David Bilyeu for helping bridge the gap between school and business.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Kent School District. Volunteers make a difference and their support and contributions are greatly valued. Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) support and enrich the lives of students and staff, provide help for individual students, and enhance aspects of the education process.
For the safety of students, staff and volunteers, all volunteers are required to complete a volunteer screening process which includes scheduling an appointment with the school office or department to a complete background check. During this appointment, you must complete a Disclosure Form, have your fingerprints taken, and have a Washington Access To Criminal History (WATCH) report run. Please note that a valid Washington State driver's license, Washington State photo ID, or passport is required for identification.
Volunteers shall have their background check completed and approved prior to having access to students, including field trip volunteers responsible for students other than their own child on a field trip. This process can take four to eight weeks, especially during "peak" seasons such as the beginning of school.
If you have questions, email Faith Sisley or call 253-373-7467.
