Virtual Online School Exchange

This ThoughtExchange was open to all community members from January 31 to Friday, February 18, 2022.

Kent School District (KSD) intends to offer a sustainable online option that expands on our existing non-traditional, choice school and programming options for students starting in fall 2022. This new learning experience will be decidedly different than the remote and hybrid learning models offered during the COVID-19 closure in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.

We are seeking the perspective of students, staff, families, and community to help us design an innovative virtual school with integrated student supports. The key question that was asked as part of this Exchange was "What supports do students need to be successful in an online setting/program?".

This report includes the key results of the Exchange and will be used to inform next steps on this topic. View the interactive reports for more details.
