Holland White has found his passion in working with his hands. From creating a bowl from clay in a matter of minutes to his future as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, he is humble about his many accomplishments and excited to graduate from Kentridge High School.
“He has shown himself to be an exceptional artist and individual,” his ceramics and metal sculpture instructor Jeff Tibeau said. “Not only does he exhibit superior artistic and technical skill, his dedication and personality is inspiring. The effort that he brings to any artistic task is impressive.”
Holland is also known for his caring and helpful personality.
“I want to set a good example for my siblings,” Holland said. “I want to contribute to my family and society.”
“He is very aware of when students need help and steps in without being instructed to do so,” Tibeau said. “He has worked extremely hard to better the lives of his siblings and himself by providing for his family while meeting his academic responsibilities as well.”
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes, like skipping class when I was younger,” Holland said. “You learn from experience, and I learned when I apply myself and put in the effort, I can do great things.”
