Community Offers Free Dental Services to KSD Students
As part of National Dental Health Month, Seattle-King County Public Health offered free dental sealants to second grade students at Meadow Ridge Elementary last week, and Fairwood Dental Center is offering a free exam, x-ray, teeth cleaning and fluoride treatment to all children age 14 and younger on Feb. 18.
Seattle-King County Public Health set up an entire three-chair dental office at Meadow Ridge Elementary Jan. 29-31. “This was a wonderful opportunity for the many students in our school who do not have access to dental care,” says Amelia Nabarrete, school nurse at Meadow Ridge.
Fairwood Dental Center will be holding their “Free Dental Kids Day” on Feb. 18 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Interested families can contact their office to schedule their free appointment at (425) 271-7725.
