Free Meal Service Update for Hybrid & Remote Learning

Kent School District will continue providing free weekly meal boxes to all hybrid learning students, remote learning students, and children ages 0-18. Meal boxes with breakfasts and lunches are available at the same meal pick-up locations across the district on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 p.m.

New Meal Pick-up Time Begins Wednesday, April 14, 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Beginning on Wednesday, April 14, meals will be available at the same meal pick-up locations from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Meal boxes are distributed curbside. Please remember to wear a mask and practice physical distancing.

Hybrid Learning

Meals are not served to hybrid learning students when they are at school.

  • Students should eat breakfast at home before school.
  • Students will receive a free snack and a small water bottle at school.
  • Students should eat lunch at home once they return.

Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle with their name clearly marked on it. Water fountains in school buildings will not be accessible due to COVID-19 health and safety measures.

Apply for Free & Reduced-Price Meals

While meals are free for all children through the end of the 2020-2021 school year, we still encourage qualifying Kent School District families to apply for free and reduced-price meals. This will ensure our district receives important funding we rely on to support students.
