The Kent School District Revised Hybrid Plan (PDF) for returning to in-person instruction has been updated to align with state and federal guidelines as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve. The details in this document are subject to change as directives from governing authorities, health officials, public health conditions, or bargaining agreements determine.

Initial plans for hybrid learning include younger elementary students (PreK-1) and students prioritized based on student needs. Although we do not have a confirmed date yet for returning to in-person learning for those families that choose this option, we are continuing to plan and finalize details to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus at school by following all public health guidance.

We will continue to share more information as soon as it is available to give our families time to readjust schedules as needed. The safety of our staff and students is our priority and we thank you for your patience as we work together on reopening our school and district buildings.

We have established a web page, www.kent.k12.wa.us/BacktoSchool, where families and community members can learn more about the reopening plan, including answers to frequently asked questions.
