Third-grade students at Millennium Elementary spent Friday, March 15, celebrating cultural diversity during the school’s annual third-grade culture fair.
Before the event, students created boxes filled with artifacts representing their culture or a culture they were interested in learning more about.
“It’s my favorite day of the year,” Holli Loghry, a third-grade teacher at Millennium, said. “The smiles on their faces, their excitement, especially when we get back to class and they get to share how many people came and visited them.”
Later in the day, students had an opportunity to enjoy food from different cultures during a potluck meal.
