Park Orchard Elementary School students and staff were excited to welcome Seattle Seahawks’ Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin and UnitedHealthcare of Washington leadership to unveil new playground equipment. The new equipment was funded through a grant from UnitedHealthcare to the Griffin’s Dreambuilders program and provides accessible play to students of all abilities.
The Griffin brothers tossed a football with students, tried out the new equipment and spoke about the importance of hard work, dedication, staying focused and achieving goals.
“I’m sure everyone wants to grow up and be successful and live out their dreams and it starts right here,” said Shaquem Griffin, “you got to get your grades right and you got to keep them up.”
KSD Administrators and Park Orchard staff and students are grateful and excited for the new accessible playground equipment. Thank you UnitedHealthcare and Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin for the generous and thoughtful donation.
