Millennium Elementary is one of 91 schools from across Washington state being recognized with the 2018 School of Distinction award for sustained improvement in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math over a five-year period. This is Millennium's second time winning this award.
The Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) and their partner organizations have recognized schools all over the state for continuous and substantive improvement. Currently in its 12th year, this award measures the improvement for all students over a sustained period, (five years), in English language arts and mathematics.
This winter Millennium Elementary will be among those recognized at an awards ceremony at the Puget Sound Educational Service District.
The 91 schools recognized by CEE this year include 51 elementary, 20 middle/junior high, and 20 high schools. The schools span all regions of the state, from large urban to small rural communities. Elementary and middle schools are recognized for sustained improvement in ELA and math achievement. High schools are recognized for sustained improvement in graduation rate over the past five years.
Congratulations Principal Watson and Millennium Trailblazers on this recognition for your continued efforts and academic achievements and being named a 2018 School of Distinction.
