  • Registration Steps

    Students must register at their boundary school, according to the attendance area boundaries.  If you need assistance determining which school your student will attend, please contact the Kent School District Transportation Department at (253) 373-7442. Please contact your boundary school for information about registration and bus routes.

    Kent School District is part of a regional kindergarten registration initiative with Seattle, Tukwila, Renton, Highline, Federal Way and Auburn. Registration in all seven districts begins on January 16, 2018. Registration packets are available at every elementary school in the Kent School District.


    You will need the following items when enrolling your student:
    • Records of Immunizations
      Completed and signed Washington State Department of Health Certificate of Immunization Status.

    • Proof of Residency
      Acceptable forms of residence/address verification include residential rental or lease agreement, residential utility bill or cable bill no more than one month old that includes the parent/guardian name and address. Please note that a cell phone bill is not an acceptable form of residence/address verification.

    • Student Identification & Proof of Age
      Original or certified copy of birth certificate, or other legal document which include the student’s name and date of birth, such as, passport, court documents, Washington State identification card, adoption papers.
