Resources and Family Advocate
Hello! My name is Mrs. Joan Johnson, and I am the East Hill Welcome Room Coordinator.
I am available at East Hill Elementary, Monday - Thursday, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
My phone number is 253-373-2326. If I am not in my office, please leave a detailed message with a phone number, and I will call..
In case of a disaster, each classroom has a container for student emergency kits and class first aid supplies. Each family is encouraged to send and emergency kit to school for their student. If you would like us to provide a kit for your student, we have them available for $3.00 per student. To order: Place $3.00 cash in an envelope and write your child's name, teacher's name and the words Emergency Kit on the outside of the envelope, and then bring the sealed envelope to the main office. An emergency kit will be delivered to your child's class, labeled with your child's name.
Fingerprinting for Volunteers
Fingerprinting is by appointment on Thursday mornings from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. East Hill LOVES it's volunteers!
Thank you to all our our classroom helpers, art docents, mentors, lunchroom and recess helpers, popcorn poppers, event organizers, field trip chaperones, bulletin board builders, book fair staffers and everyone else who pitches in to make East Hill Elementary the awesome school it is. Way to go!
The Kent PTA Council maintains a clothing bank for Kent School District students and their families. If you would like more information, or would like to access the clothing bank please contact the Welcome Room for a family voucher.
Kent Area Council PTA Clothing Bank is open this 2013-2014 school year,
on a regular schedule each month from 6:00 – 8pm. Sign-in begins at 5:30pm.
If parents have never gone before they will need to make an appointment with me, Mrs. Joan Johnson at East Hill,
and get the necessary paperwork filled out and submitted to receive your family voucher.
Remember to bring your voucher, your Picture ID, and Proof of school enrollment or Kent School District residency each time you visit the Clothing Bank.
If parents have attended already this year, they are welcome to attend until their allotment of items is completed.
Donations are welcome!

Receipts for tax purposes are available for donations brought to the clothing bank during open hours. There is also a small formal wear section that would welcome your donations. Thank you for thinking of donating.
