  • infinITy is a comprehensive hands-on training program for high school and college students who wish to pursue careers in the field of Information Technology through apprenticeship, college internship, and high school internship. High school students who want to test the water to see if they fit in the IT world can get started with our job shadow program or the student leadership program before applying for an internship.
Note: In addition to these opportunities, the IT Department also offers a variety of summer helper positions for high school and college students. For more information, please e-mail or call the infinITy office.
The infinITy program is structured to promote success from within. The program begins at the base level of job shadow or STEP, which are on a volunteer-basis. Our job shadow program offers opportunities for middle school and high school students in the Kent School District to experience a career exploration with an IT professional. Progressing toward employment, students can become high school or college interns. In this role, students will get hands-on experience in their desired field, as well as real life skills. An apprentice position is reserved for individuals who are serious about pursuing a career in the field of Information Technology and are considering the career opportunities available within the Kent School District IT Department.
