Principal Pogson

  • Dear Families,

Welcome to Panther Lake.  This is my fourth year as principal here at Panther Lake and I am proud to serve the students, staff, and families of our community. As we have returned to school this fall, it has been a learning experience for us all. I appreciate all the flexibility that everyone has shown.  We certainly learned how to do that during the 2020-2021 school year!   Being a Kids@Hope school, we are continually looking for student success and celebrating when then have them.   This is part of our role as a “Treasure Hunter” at our school. Each day we are looking for and celebrating student success.

Each day at Panther Lake we celebrate our students practicing our expectations through Panther Pride awards.  It is important that we recognize the kindness and growth that students are making. Every day we recognize several students during morning announcements by sharing why they received a Panther Pride award and offering a small prize. We love to celebrate so anyone who hasn’t been recognized still receives a small prize at the end of the month. This is one of my favorite parts of the day!

Thank you for all your support from home!  We truly can’t do this alone. Having your children read each night will go a long way to supporting their growth towards their goals.   As a mother myself, we used car rides to the store to practice multiplication facts, find sight words, or practice counting.  Thank you for trusting us with your most valuable possession.

As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any concerns.  They are here to help support both you and your child.

    Sincerely,

    Pam Pogson
