Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

It truly is an honor to serve the Scenic Hill community. My staff and I are eager to begin the new school year! Our goal is to provide your child with a high quality education. We are committed to ensuring all students meet academic standards, graduate with options, and develop a strong sense of self in preparation for their future success.  

Scenic Hill offers a Dual Language program that prepares students to be biliterate and bilingual in Spanish and English. Students in these classes are taught to master the Washington state common core standards in both English and Spanish. In a global society where many already speak two languages, our students will be equipped with speaking, reading and writing academic English and Spanish. 

We also have a strong foundation in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS). This program introduces our students to the “The Eagle Way” and reinforces the school wide expectations:  Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Through our PBIS program, our staff will continue to guide students as they are challenged to solve solutions to real-life problems. 

The most successful students are those whose parents are involved in their education. These students tend to earn better grades, score higher on standardized tests, have better attendance, and show a more positive attitude toward school.

We appreciate our partnership with you and need you to be involved in your child’s education. Effective involvement happens when parents have access to information and resources that encourage children to succeed. Be sure to connect with your child’s teacher, volunteer in the classroom, visit our website for updates and read our monthly newsletter. There are many exciting things happening this year at Scenic Hill.
