On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to say welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.
I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions, and I am excited to lead the way again this year. My main priorities are to ensure that all students are safe while on campus, receive a high-quality education, and feel welcomed!
Although academic learning is our focus, we are educating the whole child and care about their social and emotional well-being. Meridian Middle School is committed to creating a community of belonging where “All” can achieve, are inspired to be life-long learners, and celebrate diversity within an ever-changing world. Our mission is to lead with equity and love, cultivate a community of belonging, and empower “ALL” to be their best.
We have a strong foundation in the implementation of a Multiple-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). All of Meridian Middle School expectations are based on our core values: Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Responsibility. The acronym R.O.A.R. is the pillar of our building-based expectations. During the first six weeks of school, teachers will revisit these expectations in class and model to students what these expectations look like in practice.
Family involvement is a very important aspect of our school community. We appreciate our partnership with families and need you to be involved in your students ‘education. Effective involvement happens when families have access to information and resources that encourage students to succeed. For those reasons, be sure to connect with your students’ teacher, visit our website for updates, read our monthly newsletters and Skyward recorded messages.
I look forward to partnering with you as a team to help each student at Meridian Middle School meet their goals and have a successful school year. My door is always open, and I welcome your input. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share throughout the school year.
