Meals During KSD Winter Break
The Kent Community Foundation Website keeps an updated list all year long of food resources available to families in the KSD area. This includes local community and faith-based organizations that offer meals, groceries, and emergency food services during the school scheduled breaks. We are grateful for our community partners like the Kent Community Foundation, who work together to support our students, family, and community all year long. The below information is subject to change. Please visit the Kent Community Foundation website or contact the organization list below for the most accurate information.
Holiday Meals
Community Food Pantry - Kent First Baptist Church
- 5-7pm every Thursday evening and distribute boxes of shelf-stable food

Forgotten Children's Fund
- Food, clothing, and gift delivery.
- Apply online by December 16, 2021.
Kent Food Bank and Emergency Services
- Families must provide photo ID for themselves and current proof of address for all members of their household, including children
- proof can be:
- a piece of mail or lease
- school-aged children can be a school newsletter, report card, or letter for free/reduced lunch.

Christmas Food Boxes
- Provides Christmas boxes for residents of the Kent School District, also ZIP codes 98030, 98031, 98032 (partial), 98042 (partial), and 98058 (partial); NO PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED,
- Pick-up dates have not been set yet, will update when available or ask when picking up Thanksgiving food.
Christmas Gifts
- Provides holiday gifts for residents of the Kent School District; gifts are available for children ages 12 and younger.
- Must register for toys
- Registration dates have not been set, will update when available or ask when picking up Thanksgiving food.
- After registration is approved, families will be assigned a half-hour window to arrive to pick up toys.
- Registration is first-come, first, serve.
