  • Welcome Bulldog Families

I hope you and your family are safe and well during these unsettling times. I am writing to update and welcome you to Mill Creek Middle School. This is a year like no other and as we try to adjust to a “new normal,” we are challenged in many ways.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created uncertainty for all of us; the uncertainty is especially hard for students (and their parents) as you wonder what the future for this year will hold. For now, we will continue in a remote/virtual setting until we get the green light to move to a hybrid or in-person model. So please hang in there and be on the lookout for daily and weekly communications.

On behalf of the teachers and staff, we promise to work hard to continue the legacy of whole-child success established by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on character, equity, social and emotional learning, and healthy brain development.

Additionally, we will use data to drive remote instruction and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous and engaging manner so that we can continue to increase achievement for each student.

This year has been amazing in different ways, as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. Even in a virtual setting, it is important more than ever to keep a growth mindset and a positive outlook. This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

My door is always open (virtually) and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year. I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Mill Creek meet their goals and have a successful school year!
