Step 1: Provide Your Personal Email Address to the School
If you are new to Kent School District and provided a personal email address on your student’s registration form, you may create a password when you visit Skyward for the first time.
If you have not provided a personal email address or the email address is outdated, please contact your school before proceeding with the following steps.
Step 2: Click “Forgot Your Login/Password?”
Visit Skyward. Click "Forgot your Login/Password?" You must have an email address already in Skyward in order for this to work.
Step 3: Enter Your Email or User Name
Enter your email address or user name and click "Submit."
- The email must match the email address you provided on the registration form.
- The school may have provided you with a user name. User names are formatted with the first five (5) letters of your last name, the first three (3) letters of your first name, followed by three (3) digits (system assigned digits may start at 000). Blank spaces are used for names that are shorter than the requisite number of letters. For example, the user name for Si Doe is “Doe Si 000.”
You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password if the email or user name matches what is stored in Skyward for your account.
Step 4: Check Your Email
Check your email for a message from Skyward System. If you do not see the message, check your junk or spam folder.
Step 5: Create & Confirm New Password
Click on the email link to open a new window where you can create a new password. Passwords must be a minimum of six characters. Click "Submit" after you have entered the same new password twice.
