Kindergarten Early Entry (KEE)
2020-2021 Evaluation Process to Be Determined
Due to the statewide closing of all schools and offices to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Kent School District Kindergarten Early Entry (KEE) program evaluation process is still to be determined for the 2020-2021 school year.
The last few months have created unique opportunities for our district to identify new methods and processes to serve our students. The KEE process requires one-to-one work between students and psychologists as well as a peer-to-peer classroom experience. We are following guidance from local, state, and federal agencies to redesign various aspects of our operations to ensure student and staff safety.
We will update this webpage and our district communication channels when additional information becomes available. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Children must be five years old by August 31 to be eligible to enroll in kindergarten; however, if your child’s birth date is between September 1 and October 31, the Kent School District offers a fee-based assessment to determine if children demonstrate the advanced pre-academic, social, and emotional readiness necessary for kindergarten success in Kent.
