Scholarship Are a Great Way to Help Pay for College
Scholarships are generally funds awarded to students for academic or other achievements that they don’t need to repay.
This free resource connects Washington students will different scholarships. You can save time by submitting one application to multiple scholarships.
This program was created in 2007 by the Washington State Legislature to provide state financial aid to low-income students who may not consider college a possibility due to the cost.
Each year the Kent Community Foundation offers multiple scholarships to Kent area high school seniors. Students can apply for all the scholarships with one online application by April 1.
These scholarships are for students wanting to attend Green River College.
The Kent Rotary Club awards scholarships to local students and holds a celebration for graduating seniors from Kent School District.
SAT & ACT
Many scholarships require that students take the SAT or ACT.

Students may be required to return counselor recommendations for scholarships and out-of-state colleges. Please complete the Counselor Recommendation Letter Form available in the Counseling Office, share it with four of your teachers for them to complete, and then return the form to your counselor.
Please allow at least two weeks for teachers and counselors to complete recommendations.
Many scholarships require transcripts. Please request transcripts online and allow 3-5 business days before picking them up for free in the Counseling Office.
