A Choice Program for KSD Students
The Kent-Meridian Technology Academy (KMTA) is a choice program available to Kent School District (KSD) students in grades 9-12. We offer a small learning community built on strong and supportive relationships between students and teachers.
Innovative Instruction
Our project-based learning is infused with technology to prepare students with the 21st-century skills necessary to succeed in the world they face.
We have created a flexible schedule that allows students to adjust their schedule to meet their individual learning needs.
Advanced Placement (AP) Classes
KMTA students take AP classes.
- Grade 9: AP World History
- Grade 10: AP Human Geography
College Credit Opportunity
KMTA students have the opportunity to earn college credit through Central Washington University in several classes.
- Calculus
- Chemistry (University of Washington)
- English (Grade 11)
- Pre-Calculus
- Social Studies (Grade 11)
Extra-Curricular Programs
KMTA students have the opportunity to be involved in all Kent-Meridian extra-curricular programs including:
- Band
- Orchestra
- Choir
- Athletics
- Clubs & Activities
Transportation
Transportation is provided by KSD Transportation to our school from all other Kent School District service-areas.
