Free Farmers to Families Boxes

  • Pick Up Free Fresh Food on June 17

Kent School District (KSD) is proud to support the Pacific Coast Fruit Company in distributing free USDA Farmers to Families Boxes with fresh food every Wednesday from May 27 through June 17, 2020.

KSD families in need can pick up one box of fresh food per household regardless of income.

    • The boxes are prepackaged by the Pacific Coast Fruit Company. KSD has no authority over what is included.
    • The boxes weigh approximately 25 pounds. We recommend bringing a wagon, carriage, or several bags to help carry the box if you are walking to a site.

Three different boxes are available to choose from. Please help us feed as many KSD families as possible by choosing one box.

Statement from Pacific Coast Fruit Regarding June 3 Deliveries

Pacific Coast Fruit is honored to have been selected by the USDA to prepare 20 million pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables and more, preparing 810,000 produce and dairy boxes reaching 135,000 people every week in the Northwest over six weeks.

Unfortunately, on June 3 two deliveries to Kent schools were late or missed due to a personal tragedy experienced by a key team member. We apologize for any hardship from the late or missed food delivery for families.

Pacific Coast Fruit can commit to being on schedule for the rest of the Kent School District deliveries scheduled over the next two weeks. Kent School District has been a wonderful partner to work with to deliver free USDA Farmers to Families Boxes.
