Being successful in Calculus at the high school
level requires a great deal of dedication. Students must be
willing to put forth their absolute best effort at all times.
It requires students to devote a great deal of time to practice and
studying as well as risk-taking. It is often said that "the
best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else".
We will embrace that philosophy in this course, so be prepared to
spend time at the board demonstrating solutions and working in small groups.
There are a great deal of resources available on
the web for the calculus student. There is not enough time in
class during the school year for us to take advantage of all of the
available tools, so the below information is provided to you as a
resource for your "out-of-class" studying and discovery. If
you find more/better resources than those below, let me know so that
I can incorporate them. Also let me know if any of the links
are not useful, so that they may be removed. This is a living
site .. it will only improve over time through increased usage by students.
Happy exploring and welcome to AP Calculus at Kentlake!!!
