All Jenkins Creek students are encouraged to have a comfort kit at school.Comfort kits include items that your child may need in the event of an emergency, (power outage, earthquake, lockdown, etc..Below is a suggestion of items thatyou may want to include.All items should fit into a one-gallon zip lock bag, be labeled with your childs name and expiration dates of June 2011 or later.
Suggested Items for Student Comfort Kits
Bottled water or juice
Cheese and crackers
Trail mix, dried fruits, nuts, acouple pieces of hard candy, fruit snacks
Small flashlight or lumilite stick (glow stick)
Emergency space blanket
32 gallon garbage bag or disposable rain poncho
Letter and/or a couple pictures from home for comfort
It is not too late to send in an emergency kit for your child/children.If your student does not already have a kit at school, please send one in as soon as possible.It would be great if every student had one of his/her own.At the end of the school year, the kit will be sent homewith student.
