Sign-up now for Track! It's not too late.

Dear Mill Creek Families,

Is your child interested in turning out for a sport during  4th season?  If so, this message is for you!

Why should I worry about this now?  There is nothing worse than when an athlete wants to try out for a team but can’t because they aren’t registered or don’t have a physical.  We want to work together with you to help all kids who want to be involved in athletics, have that become a reality.  While not all family members likely have the next two weeks off for a holiday break, the kids can use this time to work on registering for athletics or making an appointment for a physical.  The local Kent Multi-Care offers walk in physicals and works with families on the financial end of it if there are needs.

Why do we have to register online?  As you may or may not know, Kent School District moved to online registration through FamilyID ( this year. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.

What does my child need to be cleared prior to April 17th when Boys Soccer and Track begin?  Two things are needed. 1)  A current physical which included the doctor’s signature, a date next to the signature, and the document must state your child is cleared for athletics.  It is best if you have the doctor fill out the KSD physical form so that all required elements will be included. Copies are located in the Mill Creek front office or can be found online on the KSD Athletics Page.  A scanned copy is also attached to this email, and 2) To be registered on-line.  We have a paper copy if necessary, but it is best to register online because then your online registration will be done and you’ll never have to do it again.

Will I have to ever register my child again?  The basic answer is ‘no’. Once you’ve registered your child online, it is done.  With that said, before each sports season you will need to get online and click a few buttons giving permission for the next sports season.  For example, if you register for 3rd season and then your child decides to participate in track, you will need to get online and click a few buttons to give permission for track.  This process takes 2 minutes at the most.

How do we register online?  The directions are located below.  As a parent of KSD athletes, I can honestly tell you that it will take about 15 minutes to complete and it is simple once you make the account.  Your child can likely make the account on his/her own and begin filling out the registration and then all you may need to do is check your child’s work and put the electronic signatures in.

Registration Directions:


It will be helpful to have the following information handy to allow for accurate completion of your online registration: Doctor information, Health Insurance Information, Student ID number. 


Easy to follow steps:

1.    Click on this link:

  1. To find your program, click on the link provided by the Organization above and select the registration form under the word Programs.
  2. Next click on the green Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In green buttons. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account. Click Log In, if you already have a FamilyID account.
  3. Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.
  4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).
  5. Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to
  6. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.
  7. Click the Save & Continue button when your form is complete.
  8. Review your registration summary.
  9. Click the green Submit button. After selecting ‘Submit’, the registration will be complete. You will receive a completion email from FamilyID confirming your registration.
  10. On the next screen, click on Proceed to Payment to be directed to PayPal, the payment processor.
  11. In PayPal, you can use a PayPal account, debit card or credit card. (You will need to select whether you want to pay with PayPal or to pay without a PayPal account.
  12.  After you click Pay, you will receive a completion email from PayPal confirming your payment and an email from FamilyID confirming your registration.

 Note:  You may find it easier to simply drop the completed physical form off at Mill Creek or send it in with your child.  If you decide to upload it yourself on the website, please make sure to follow these directions so both pages show up. To upload a physical to your completed registration, follow these step by step instructions:

If you would like to upload more than one file, follow these instructions:

1. Using a MAC: Hold down the 'Command' key and select the documents. 
2. Using a PC: Hold down the 'Control' key and select the documents. 

At any time, you may log in at to update your information and to check your registration(s).
To view a completed registration, select the 'Registration' tab on the blue bar.
