Horizon Elementary will now have 5 sessions this summer. Campers will get to experience some traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts, group games, sports, outdoor cooking, storytelling and more!

We have achieved Level One status. Level One, focuses on waste reduction and recycling practices. With county assistance, participants review the Best Practices Guide, develop an action plan, and complete actions and education/outreach in: waste reduction, recycling, hazardous materials management.

Congratulations to Horizon Elementary for receiving the academic achievement and proficiency award for the Largest Percent Affinity Group Increase in Reading Proficiency Award. Washington State Achievement Awards are given to schools that score in the top 10 percent of academic target areas over a three-year period. Proficiency awards are given to schools that lead the district in growth in specific student affinity groups for the past school year. Each school will be recognized at the June 11 school board meeting.
