Persons Week
February 17-19
Letters of invitation are included in this week’s Cheetah Messenger
envelope. If your child has a special person(s) planning to visit,
please fill out the response information and
return it to your child’s teacher by next Thursday, February 11.
Monthly Character Trait
Cedar Valley is continuing to reward those students who do not receive a behavior slip within a month. Each month will target a specific character trait. The reward is a discipline incentive charm.
The
discipline charm for February will be Integrity. Here are some
details about integrity:
Integrity is our inner voice of
wisdom, a voice that speaks the truth and our sense of what’s right and
wrong. By definition, integrity is to act according to a
sense of what’s right and wrong. Ideally, dependability and predictability
in relationships comes from integrity. When the people
around us lead their lives with integrity, we know how they
will interact with us and others, in situations. They are steadfast; they
don’t waiver depending on who or what or circumstances or whim. Who they are
today is who they will be next week and the month later. We know where we
stand with them. We trust them. We respect them. We value being in their
presence. If we want integrity in others, we must possess
and model it ourselves.
