COLLEGE   BOUND   SCHOLARSHIP   PROGRAM

The state of Washington has a program for eligible families that will help pay for most or all of their child’s college.  This is called the College Bound Scholarship program (CBS).  All Middle Schools in Kent are having all eligible students fill out applications.  Students are only allowed to apply in  the 7th and 8th grades.  Students will continue to be eligible if their family meets certain financial guidelines when the student starts their senior year, and  if the student has a GPA of 2.0  (‘C’ average).  The Kent School District has notified us as to who is eligible at this point and time.

For more information, please check out their website:   www.hecb.wa.gov/collegebound  or follow this link to see their Question and Answer page:      http://www.wsac.wa.gov/sites/default/files/CBS_12-13_QA.pdf
