At this Kent Fire Station, they create street maps
for the larger district. Here is a picture of the desk and computer that
the firefighter will use to do this job. The picture on the right shows
the lieutenant's seat in the fire engine. The lieutenant helps with the
maps and computer. It is important that the firefighters quickly find
their way to the emergency, no matter where it is located. Good maps, red
lights, and a siren help them do this. When you see red lights and hear
the siren, move to the right when on the road.
