Welcome to the Teaching & Learning
Technology Vision Summit Homepage!
The Information Technology and Teaching & Learning divisions are seeking your input as we work to create a plan for improving the way that KSD students use technology for learning, both in and out of the classroom, every day. Please consider joining us at the Teaching and Learning Technology Vision Summit to share your ideas of what technology should look like in the Kent School District on March 18, 2017 at Kentwood High School. This summit will bring together KSD teachers, students, parents, leadership, community partners, business partners, and others to help create a vision for teaching and learning at KSD and how technology will further that vision. The summit will be facilitated by Mr. Jim Lengel and will focus on “A day in the life of a 21st Century KSD student”. To view Mr. Lengel's biography, click here. For more detailed information on what this summit is all about, please view a video from Chief Information Officer Carmen Rahm and our summit flyer under the section menu to the left.
Are you a teacher, student, parent/guardian, principal/assistant principal, KSD staff member, KSD community partner, KSD business partner, or a District leadership team member who would like to be a part of shaping the vision? If so, apply today to join educational business partners such as Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, HP, Pearson and others at this important event.
Please note: we are not seeking individuals with a strong technology background, but rather those with a passion for student learning who would like to share their ideas on how KSD can use technology to enhance that learning.
To be considered for attendance, applications must be submitted by February 8, 2017. Space is limited, submission of an application does not guarantee attendance at the summit.
Who Can Apply
Teachers, parents, students, principals/assistant principals, KSD leadership, KSD business partners, and KSD community partners who would like to share their ideas on how KSD might use technology to enhance learning. No need to be a technology expert!
