STEP Leadership Team

STEP Leadership Team is a group of high school students who help the Kent School District carry out technology projects across the district. We are the voice for our fellow students to the district office. We provide feedback to the KSD IT Department on what technology is brought into our schools and how it benefits our fellow students and teachers.We also test the technology before implementing it in our district. We are like the Dr. to your Pepper, the Mario to your Luigi, the dressing to your salad, the hip to your hop. We work on cool projects such as STAR, VisFest, and Tech Expo. We participate in regional and national conferences such as Northwest Council for Computer Education, National School Boards Association, and Northwest Tech Forum. We also get to visit the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center and tour their Home of the Future and Envisioning Lab.

The STEP program provides leadership opportunities for high school students in the Kent School District to develop their interpersonal and professional skills through technology projects.
