One-to-One

The demands of the workplace are changing. The nature of student experience outside of school is changing. The mission of the Kent School District is to “Successfully Prepare All Students for Their Future.” Research shows that one-to-one computing increases student success.

Distribution Timeline

The yearly laptop rollout is staggered to ensure a quality deployment. Students begin receiving laptops in August and September. Most schools allow students to take their laptops home right away, as they are a valuable tool for teaching and learning. Students receive training in troubleshooting, laptop care, and Internet safety at school beginning in second grade and continuing through high school. KSD students are well prepared for the responsibility of using technology for their educations.
