School Safety Services
The Kent School District Safety Services Department provides safety and security for students, staff, and visitors. The fifteen safety services staff members support students and employees at all schools in the Kent School District. The Safety Services Department provides service across the district's seventy-three square miles. Coverage is provided for the districts campuses, administration, and support service buildings.
In 1995, the Kent School District took a unique approach to the safety operations with the philosophy that it takes a whole village, by partnering with parents and the community to provide not just security and safety, but also many support services. Safety Services constantly seeks to improve and maintain strong relations within the community. Many of our officers are parents, and several serve as mentors, coaches, and advisors for students in the district.
Safety Services takes pride in maintaining high standards for our safety officers.
