The levy allows the Board opportunities to restore programs lost during past budget reductions. The Board is seeking input from community and staff through two public hearings, April 16 and 22, or a survey.
KSD parents and staff are invited to attend a free round table discussion on the importance of education data and what it means to the success of our children. Preregistration is recommended.
Public Survey: Budget Restoration Options
Board Requests Community Input for Consideration
The recently passed four-year levy allows the Board opportunities to restore programs lost during past budget reductions. The Board is requesting input from community and staff in two public hearings on April 16 and 22. Since the list of possible restorations exceeds that amount, the School Board will have to make difficult decisions about what to restore beginning in the 2014-15 school year.
Wednesday, April 16 Kent-Meridian Cafeteria 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 22 Kentwood Gymnasium 7:00-8:30 p.m.
The Board is also using a survey to gather input. Please take a moment to complete the survey to let the Board know your preferences regarding program restorations or to provide your suggestions. The online survey will be open until April 25 at 5:00 p.m. The survey results and findings from each of the public hearings will be among the many important factors considered by the Board in making budget decisions.
Our hope is that when you grocery shop each week, you will use this bag instead of paper or plastic bags to help us reduce waste and conserve natural resources.
The youngest child in your family who attends Panther Lake should have received a family pledge for you to sign (printed on green paper). If your pledge has gone missing or you need a new one for your family, please click the link below, download, print, and sign the copy. Once this has been returned to your child's teacher, your family will be provided with one reusable grocery bag.
Thank you for helping us be more green here at Panther Lake!
