NEW! Mock Trial Club

Do you have students in your class who:

…are outspoken? …are interested in law? …who shine in role-plays? …like to argue?

Then encourage them to join our new Mock Trial Team!

Students will be coached by local legal professionals and interested teachers to participate in a district competition and [hopefully] a state competition. Students will play lawyers, witnesses and courtroom personnel. This is a great chance for students to gain confidence, learn logical reasoning, get familiar with the law and the court system, have fun and meet friends!

Our first meeting will be in East Wing 102 on Wed. 11/4 from 2:30-3:30 pm. We would like all kinds of students to come and check it out. We will have meetings every Wednesday in E 102.

Ask one of the co-advisors more information if you like: Lisa Clarke, Michael Transier & Erin Malicki! We are excited for this!

KM PTSA

Parent/Teacher/Student Association

Hello to all of our returning families and welcome to those of you who are new. PTSA at KM is an organization made up of parents, school staff, students and community members interested in making KM the best place it can be. Each year our role is reviewed and a plan is made as to how we can best help the school achieve its goals for the coming year. This next year, our first task is to raise enough funds to help purchase the final emergency supplies needed for each classroom. We are also looking at trying to find volunteers from the community and our families who would be willing to give some time after school helping our struggling students with their homework. We have plans for some of our traditional events like staff appreciation week, the Reflections Arts contest and Mr. Royal as well. If you think you might be interested in supporting or helping with any of the things we have mentioned please plan on attending our first meeting of the year Tuesday, September 1st at 6:00pm in the KM staff lounge. Newcomers are very welcome! (Contact information: kmptsa@yahoo.com or Co-presidents: Linda Novak 253-631-9894 or Sharon Pfeiffer (253-797-2531).
