What is a Background?
A Background is the very bottom layer of your page. Stickers, animations,
text boxes, and movies "float" above the background and are not impacted
by paint tools. To explore these, drag and drop them on your page.
What can I do with Sound?
The new Sound Library helps you make one page a presentation by adding
sound to it. Be careful not to add music to every page as it may distract
from the content. Often times a student's voice is much better than what
the computer can do.
As you look through the library you'll find "My Sounds". This is where
you can record your own voice. To add sound to your page just drag and
drop it on your page. Click the green play button to
hear your sound.
What are Animations?
Animations are short moving pictures that may repeat. Use the green
play
button to see them move on your page. They "float" above the background
like stickers and can be resized and moved. They also may be flattened
(Toolbox menu and Flatten Stickers and Animations) but will
no longer be animated. To try some animations, just drag and drop them
on your page.
What Does the Undo Guy Do?
The Undo Guy will make your last action as if it did not happen. This
is very handy if you make only one mistake because he only removes the
last thing you did. For example, if you are filling red paint into a shape
and accidentally paint the shape, the Undo Guy will put things back to
how it was before you painted the shape.

You can edit a text box by selecting the Text Box Tool and then clicking in the box you want to edit. You can then delete or add more text. Text boxes "float" above the background and can be "flattened". They should be flattened if you do not want Slideshow to read them aloud. Font Size Copy Text to Speech Voice ![]() |
