This site makes two basic assumptions:

  • Search engines don't always take us where we need to be
  • Web sites aren't always (surprise, surprise) for real

Untangling the Web was designed for teachers to practice strategies that will help students determine all relevant sources of information available and then to select the best possible source for that information.

Question Everything

Untangling the Web was designed as a two and a half  hour section of a larger ten hour Internet for the Classroom  course.

Many thanks for all of the ideas from Alan November, Joyce Valenza and Bernie Dodge
